Glad I gave up TV

Tonight I watched a documentary about the tea party. It's called "The Billionaires' Tea Party" on YouTUbe. It's interesting to see how people are manipulated by the media and big business. Kind of scary.
One good thing about giving up TV is that we are exposed to far less media. I'm glad we gave up TV.

For acts of kindness: returned some library books for a coworker, I picked up a letter for a coworker and I helped move a huge rock to my bosses car.

Today I consumed: a bran muffin, half a banana, a bbqd cheese burger, a smokie and a yogurt cup. I drank 8 glasses of water and 3 cups of tea.

We tossed TV a few years ago and have no regrets. We'll get a series or movies in DVD format and watch them that way. To add, also am very selective of the "news" I tune in to and have given up the radio because I found the commercials too irritating.

Now when I see a TV program, I'm stunned as to the content and frequency of the commercials. Yep, subliminal programming at its finest.

I will definitely check it out.
We also gave up TV over a year ago and don't miss it at all. I listen to CBC radio sometimes and the show "Power of Persuasion" always shocks me with the marketing games that are underplay.
